Benefits of NingXia Red, the Anti-Aging, Cancer-Fighting, Synergistic Fruit Drink!

NingXia Red is an all-natural, synergistic antioxidant health drink that improves physical and even mental health on a number of levels. It is made of a number of fruits that improve bodily and mental function, slow the effects of aging, and even help fight cancer.

Rejuvenating ingredients.

The juice has a number of ingredients that provide different benefits to the human body. In addition, they are all antioxidants that work together to provide an effect greater than the sum of their parts!

Pomegranate juices and products have become more and more popular over the last few years. Why? Aside from offering vitamins A, E, and folic acid in sufficient quantities, it has almost 3 times the antioxidant powers of green tea–AND supports cardio-vascular health.

Apricot is a fruit long revered in many traditional cultures as a longevity aid, it also is high in calcium, iron, potassium carbonate (great for those with heart problems), and magnesium and phosphorous (normalizes blood pressure and improve brain function).

Blueberry. The USDA Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging says that blueberries are among the fruits with the highest antioxidant activity. Research shows that daily consumption (equal to a cup a day) slows the loss of mental ability that is caused by aging.

Raspberry is an excellent source of ellagic acid. This acid helps protect the cells from damage from free radicals. Raspberry’s high flavonoid combats overgrowth of bacteria in the body, helping prevent yeast infections and irritable bowel syndrome. Ellagitannins, which are found in the raspberry and almost nowhere else, have been reported to have cancer-fighting abilities.

Wolfberry–also known as goji berry– has been used in China since ancient times to strengthen the immune system, improve vision, help with blood flow, and protect the liver. Often referred to as the “miracle superfood”, wolfberry is an ultra-rich nutrient source. It has been shown in studies to stop the kind of DNA mutation that causes cancer.

What NingXia Red doesn’t have.

NingXia Red doesn’t contain any “junk juices”. These juices–such as apple, pear, and white grape juices–are high in sugar, while providing relatively little health benefit.

Typically, dark berries provide more nutrients and antioxidants than to lighter-colored fruits (with the exception of the apricot).

Total synergy for total effectiveness.

Research at Cornell University has proven that, when whole ingredients such as the above are mixed, their antioxidant effect is greater than the sum of their parts.

This means that the great-tasting NingXia Red provides anti-aging, rejuvenating effects more effectively than simply eating all of its ingredients would–and without the trouble of having to store every single ingredient in one’s ice box.
MANGO MADNESS SMOOTHIE

Ingredients

1/2 Mango

1/2 medium banana

1oz NingaXia Red

4 blackberries

1/2 cup ice crushed

1tsp Agave syrup (or to taste)

125g cup plain yogurt

Method

Place all ingredients in the blender on high, until smooth and thick, serve immediately

Vegetarian Diet Plan

Vegetarian has long been a good alternative to the high fat, high protein diet that plagues the health of so many people. While it isn’t for everyone, going vegetarian can help you achieve a better level of health. Once you learn the basics of the vegetarian diet plan, you can enjoy all the benefits of being a vegetarian.

What is a vegetarian?

A vegetarian is a person who doesn’t eat meat. There are many different categories of vegetarianism which are determined by the level of animal products that a person chooses to eat. An ovo-lacto vegetarian abstains for meat but will eat dairy products and eggs. You can also be an ovo-vegetarian (eggs only) or a lacto-vegetarian (dairy products only). Vegans eat no products from animals at all.

Benefits of vegetarianism

A vegetarian diet has many different benefits for your health. When you become vegetarian you eliminate one of the largest sources of fat. Although meat has a lot of protein, it also contains a lot of fat. You’ll reduce your risk of heart disease and hypertension.

You’ll also have a higher concentration of nutrition in your food. While it’s definitely possible to eat “bad” vegetarian food (like potato chips, cookies and French fries), vegetarianism opens up the doors to trying new kinds of fruits, vegetables and grains. Generally speaking, fruits and vegetables are more nutritionally dense than other types of food and these foods make up a large part of the vegetarian diet.

Since you’ll be eating less fat and increasing the nutrients in you diet, you may naturally lose weight. Studies show that vegetarians are slimmer and less likely to be obese.

How to transition

If you are currently eating a lot of animal products, you may wonder how you’ll ever live without meat. Transitioning to vegetarianism is easier if you take things slow. First, try to eliminate red meat from your diet. While you are doing this, boost the amount of fruits and vegetables in your diet. Try experimenting with fruits and veggies that you may not normally eat to increase the variety of your diet.

Next, begin removing chicken and then fish. Notice the way that your body feels by eliminating these animal products. Learn to use protein substitutes like tofu, tempeh and TVP. These alternatives will further increase the variety of the diet and help you make substitutes of your old favorites, like burgers or tacos.

Vegetarianism is a good choice if you want to improve your health and reduce your waist line. By following these tips you’ll be able to effectively transition from a standard diet to a healthy vegetarian way of life.

If you’ve been trying to eat healthfully, you may face a challenge when you go to eat out of the house. Restaurants and fast food places serve notoriously unhealthy food. However, with a bit of planning and some knowledge of what to choose, you can safely eat out of the house without sacrificing your health.

Learn to read between the lines

When you look at the menu, you should be able to tell right off the bat which foods are bad for you by reading between the lines. There are certain “code words” that are used in menus that can be red flags for high calories and high fat. If something is “breaded”, “crusted” or “fried”, you shouldn’t order it. The same goes for cream sauces, wine sauces and lemon butter sauces. These cooking methods use extra oil which can double or triple the calories and fat of the original item. Seek out food that is “grilled”, “steamed” or “poached.”

Split the meal

Most restaurant plates come with enough food to feed two people. Why not split the entrée with someone and order a side salad? This way you eat get to try the meat, pasta, fish, chicken or sandwich but you won’t have to eat all of the calories. The side salad will help keep you full and it’s a great way to boost your vegetable intake for the day. You’ll reduce the fat and calories. If no one wants to split the meal with you, ask for a to go box and pack up half of the meal before you even start eating. This way you’ll get the most out of your restaurant meal without overindulging.

Research before you arrive

Most restaurants these days, particularly chains, have their menus posted online. Some even provide nutritional information that you can use to plan your meal wisely. It’s often easier to make a decision when you aren’t in the heat of the moment. Plus you can plan out your meal and decide what you’re willing to sacrifice calorie wise.

Avoid fast food

If you have a choice, pick a sit down dinner place instead of something that has a drive through. Drive through food is very high calorie and greasy. It’s often prepared in terrible conditions and the food itself is low quality, even before it is prepared. If you’re in a rush, swing by a deli or fresh sandwich shop to get a healthier meal.

These tips will help you maintain your health goals while eating outside of the house. With planning and a few tricks, you can stay on track and eat at a restaurant.

Fresh Produce Guide

Everyone needs to incorporate more fresh produce into their diet. Whether you are a vegan, a omnivore or somewhere in between, you can’t discount the effectiveness of fresh fruits and vegetables in your diet. Canned and frozen produce will do in a pinch, but you should really focus your attention on buying and using fresh whenever possible.

Not only does fresh produce look better that canned or frozen, it has higher quality nutrients as well. When you go shopping at your local grocery store for fresh produce, you want to get the freshest food possible. In order to do so, just follow these simple tips.

 1. Pull from the bottom or from the back

When you are looking for fresh produce, you should try finding fruits or vegetables that are at the bottom of the pile. These fruits and vegetables aren’t exposed to the general public and are less likely to be picked over and touched by the dirty hands of passersby.

 2. Shop for produce last

Although the produce section is at the front of the store, you’ll want to save this part of your shopping trip for last. If you get a cucumber and then walk around the store, piling things on top of it and letting the temperature rise, it’s not going to be as fresh as if you pick it up right when you are headed to the checkout line.

 3. Inspect for moldy spots or bruises

You can avoid throwing out a lot of your food by inspecting your produce carefully while you are there in the store. Even tiny bruises and spots can decrease the shelf life of your purchases by several days. Unless you’re going to be eating it right away, inspect everything carefully and avoid produce that looks like it might go south fast. Once you get home, be sure to remove the produce from the grocery bags and shake off any excess water to inhibit mold growth.

 4. Transport your produce carefully

If you’re traveling more than 30 minutes from your grocery store to home, you’ll need to develop a plan to safely transport your produce. This way you can arrive with it as fresh as possible when you get home. Consider taking an ice chest with some cold packs. You can also get insulated bags and pack fresh produce on top of frozen items. In any event, keep your produce out of the sun when you travel and it will be fresh when you get home.

These tips will help you keep your produce fresh and help you eat healthfully.
